Summer Camps

Please reach us at 214-250-3916 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

  • Closed-toe shoes or boots are required for riding
  • Long pants are recommended - campers can bring shorts to change into after riding
  • We recommend bringing sunscreen and a refillable water bottle
  • Bring a lunch/snacks daily (except Wednesday - hot dog cookout provided!)
  • Helmets are provided, or campers can bring their own

Campers will have formal riding lessons each day, accompanied by 'free rides' where they can practice riding bareback, English, etc. When not riding, campers learn about grooming, feeding, grazing, and horse safety. Throughout the week, they will play relay races on horseback and go on a trail ride. By Friday, they will be ready to show off their skills at the Horse Show!

Every Friday, campers have an opportunity to show off what they learned at camp with the Horse Show. Friends and family are encouraged to stop by, take lots of pictures, and stay for Awards. The show begins at 3:30 PM and will conclude at the regular pick-up time of 5 PM.

Trail Rides

Please reach us at 214-250-3916 if you cannot find an answer to your question.

We welcome all riding levels on our trail rides - even if it's your first time! The trails are designed for beginners, and will mostly consist of walking, with the possibility of some trotting. Please note that trotting is dependent on your trail guide's discretion and may not be possible due to trail conditions, group size, or rider safety.

 What to Wear & Bring:

  • Closed-toe shoes are required for riding
  • We recommend long pants for your comfort
  • Dress for approximately 1 hour outdoors based on the weather (jacket, sunscreen, etc.)

To keep your ride safe and enjoyable, please bring only essentials on horseback:

  • Avoid large backpacks or purses
  • Phones are permitted, but must be securely stored

Please let us know ASAP if you are unable to make it to your ride time or if you will be running late. We can reschedule you to a day/time that fits your schedule.

Please arrive 10-15 minutes early for your appointment. You will sign liability waivers, be fitted for helmets, etc. prior to your ride. Arriving late to your scheduled appointment time could result in a shorter ride.

The minimum age for our trails is 7. We do not allow double riding, so all riders will guide their own horses, meaning they must be at least 7 years old.

When booking your trail, please inform us if any members of your party exceed 230 lbs (105 kg). Additionally, please let us know if anyone has any mobility issues or needs assistance mounting or dismounting. Don't worry, we can easily acommodate, but it is helpful to know ahead of time!
